Critical Incident Stress Management Class

District 5 Hospital Preparedness Planning Committee hosted a Critical Incident Stress Management Class, which educated 53 participants and presented them with continuing education certificates for the class. We would like to thank Moore Restoration for donating and allowing us to use their facility for the three day class.

Critical Incident Stress Management Class

District 5 HPPC hosted a CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) class last week.  The class was taught by Kimble Richardson, M.S., LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, and Lindi Holt PhD, NREMT-P, NCEE and was very well received by 13 attendees.  District 5 HPPC would like to send a special thanks to Moore Restoration for donating the use of their facility to hold the class, and for providing donuts and coffee every morning.  Moore Restoration, also, graciously ended the three day class with lunch for everyone.  Thank you so much Moore Restoration!

District 5 Training

On February 10, 2017, District 5 Hospital Preparedness Planning Committee gathered 63 Coalition Partners together, including hospitals, health departments, Emergency Medical Associations, Emergency Medical Services, Indiana State Department of Health, Department of Homeland Security, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, and Long Term Care Facilities, for mass notification training. This training consisted of computer training on LiveProcess, a mass notification system that will be utilized to communicate with multiple agencies for collaboration during emergency situations.

  • Certified Emergency Disaster Professional (CEDP) Pre-conference Course

    The CEDP is a professional credential for those working in the public, private, and governmental positions related to emergency/disaster management. The CEDP certification program includes an eight-hour day of training and review for the exam. The 2.5 hour exam is then proctored on the second day. Subject matter addresses emergency planning, management, response, and mitigation concepts.
